This policy explains how The Q Place (“we”, “us”), a shop in Galveston, Texas, handles the information you give us when you use this website.

What we collect

Order details: your name, email address, phone number, and, for shipped orders, your shipping address, plus the items you buy and the amounts paid.
Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email, including your name and email address.
Cart information: a small cookie that remembers what is in your cart while you shop. Items in a cart are held for you for a short time.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not store your payment card number.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, you enter your card or other payment details on Stripe’s secure page, not on ours. Stripe shares with us the result of the payment and limited details such as the last digits of the card and the payment method. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers how it uses your information.

How we use your information

To process, pack, ship or prepare your order for pickup.
To send your receipt and order updates by email.
To answer your questions and handle returns or damage claims.
To keep records for accounting, sales tax and legal requirements.
To prevent fraud and keep the website working properly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the shop:

Stripe, to take payment.
Shipping carriers, such as USPS, UPS or FedEx, which receive your name, address and sometimes phone number or email so they can deliver your order.
Our website host and email services, which store the data and deliver our emails for us.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a cookie that is needed for your shopping cart to work. We do not use it to track you across other websites. Other companies whose tools we use, such as Stripe or Google Fonts, may set their own cookies or receive technical information such as your IP address when their content loads.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for taxes, accounting and legal reasons, which is typically several years. Messages sent through the contact form are kept as long as needed to help you.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Some order records we must keep. To make a request, email sales@theqplacegalveston.com. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email by following the link in it, and we send order emails only about your orders.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure connections (HTTPS) and a payment process that keeps card details away from our systems. No website can promise perfect security, so please use caution when sharing personal information online.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
