The simple rules for buying from our shop.

By placing an order on this website you agree to these terms. They apply to purchases from The Q Place, Galveston, Texas.
Nearly everything we sell is unique, so each item is available only once. Listings show photos and descriptions of the exact piece you would receive. Colors may look a little different on different screens. Antiques and vintage items are pre-owned and may show wear, repairs or patina that we try to point out in the listing.
When you add an item to your cart we hold it for you for a short time, so no one else can buy it while you check out. If you do not complete payment in time, the item goes back on sale. An order is complete only when your payment is confirmed. If two people try to buy the same piece, the first confirmed payment wins and we will refund the other.
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies, and shipping is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we accept the payment methods shown on the payment page. We may cancel an order and refund you in full if we find an error in a listing or suspect fraud.
Please read our Shipping & Returns page. Risk of loss passes to you once the carrier delivers the package. Items marked Local pickup only must be collected at our shop in Galveston, and you are responsible for safely moving and loading large pieces.
All sales are final except as described on our Shipping & Returns page, for example when an item is significantly different from its description or arrives damaged. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law.
Live plants are living things. We choose healthy plants and pack them with care, but we cannot guarantee how a plant will do once it leaves us, since light, water and temperature at your home matter a great deal.
Photos, text and the logo on this site belong to The Q Place and may not be copied or used without our permission. Please do not misuse the site or try to interfere with its operation.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for delays or problems caused by carriers, weather or other events outside our control.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in effect when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.
